Marine Toys For Tots Foundation Welcome to Local Marine Corps Toys for Tots of Pinal County, AZ

Toys for Tots Coordinator Josie Kakar-Delsi
Thanks to the generosity of the local community, during the 2011 Toys for Tots campaign, 7708 toys were distributed to 6803 less fortunate children in this area. We look forward to working with everyone again in 2012. Thank you.

Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots - Pinal County is extremely grateful to the caring citizens of Pinal County who give generous donations.  To the citizens of the communities throughout Pinal County, thank you to those who hold the desire to make Christmas special for as many disadvantaged children as possible - children who come from home situations that often times seem very hopeless and love is absent from their lives.

Local Origin

Marine Reserve Units, located throughout the Nation, conduct toy collection and distribution campaigns in communities near their Reserve Centers. To expand the nationwide coverage of Toys for Tots, selected Marine Corps League Detachments are authorized to conduct Toys for Tots campaigns as part of the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program in communities without a local Marine Reserve Unit such as Pinal County.  A campaign can only be conducted in coordination with a local representative authorized by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.  The Coordinator is responsible for organizing and conducting the campaign in her community/area.

The Pinal County program is coordinated throughout Pinal County by the LCC appointed by Marine Corps League Casa Grande Detachment 901 and authorized by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.  Volunteers are comprised of cadets from the local high schools USMCJROTC, citizens and charitable organizations.

The principal Toys for Tots activity is the collection and distribution of new unwrapped toys within Pinal County.  Toys are provided to children that are less fortunate to receive no gifts for Christmas.  The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to disadvantaged youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

Over the years, we have been successful and have worked tirelessly to meet the ever growing demand for toys that enable parents, who may not otherwise be able, to provide their children with a Christmas toy and to answer their child's Christmas dream. For the those who make Toys for Tots possible year after year, Toys for Tots embodies the true spirit of Christmas.
